20 Questions with Sally King:
Author of Lunchbox Love

Sally King is an author, educator and speaker working towards bettering the eating habits of children and adults alike. Her first book, Lunchbox Love, is full of healthy and nutrient-dense recipes that actually taste good. She promotes whole foods from scratch, having learned the hard way what an unhealthy lifestyle can do to health and longevity. After transforming her own life and dealing with her kids health issues, she became well-versed in nutrition, and wanted to share her passion for what she had learned.

What SEPERATES ME from other MEOs is ... that I am not very good at being told 'no' and therefore that tends to make me want to prove them wrong and show them how it is done. BALANCE is ... being able to spend time with my family and doing the things that I preach out in the world for my kids. I try very hard to enough down time so as not to get overwhelmed with to-do lists.

What is NOT PERFECT in my life is ... a sense of belonging as we have no extended family whatsoever, so sometimes when hard times hit it can be lonely with no support.
When I LOOK BACK , I see my biggest success was ... all the hard things that I went through in my life because they make me who I am. I have always felt that you learn much more from your failures than your successes.

My SUPER POWER is.
aggressiveness, and tenacity.

The LAST THING on my priority list is ... bookwork which drives my husband nuts!
I ORGANIZE my day by ... taking time in the morning to write down 5 things that I want to accomplish that day
My 5 tips for feeling BEAUTIFUL are: Making sure to have time for myself, Taking time to put make-up on, Wearing something nice, Perfume, and Giving myself a pedicure. These things seem superficial but when I don't feel good about my appearance I feel it affects my confidence and performance
I am/am not comfortable in the art of SELF-PROMOTION. Why?
I am not as comfortable as I should be, but I am working everyday at that as no one can promote me as well as me.
When I am FEELING DOWN I … like to have a bath, or reading to my kids and talking to a friend. Sometimes we just need a little perspective when we are caught up in something
I am an EXPERT in my field because ... because I get fired up and research, research, research. This field fuels my passion like nothing else.  
THREE WORDS to describe me are ... funny (well most days), motivated, creative
I use SOCIAL MEDIA because ... it has been a great way to get exposed to people that I would not have otherwise had access to. This has been a hard lesson as it is not my natural desire to do this. I am not that interested in the computer but I am learning because whether we like it or not it is the way of the future. I have also connected with some great people through it.
I OVERCOME challenges by .... digging in and getting done what needs to be done. Most times we do not have a choice in dealing with challenges so we might as well pony up and deal. Definitely not always fun, but always necessary
The most INFLUENTIAL people in my life include … Craig Keilburger, because he shows what even a child can accomplish when they feel strongly about something. Jamie Oliver, because he puts his heart on his sleeve and doesn't care what people think and has done big things. I typically am drawn to people who are real and flawed and are not afraid to show it. People that come across too perfect and closed make me nervous, you just know they are hiding something and what are they afraid of? Be real and it makes you honest.
My SUCCESS WORDS are ... It is more of a statement and it is this…"Many people die with their music still in them". This to me would be tragic. BEFORE I was a wife/mom, I ... was a hairdresser and did stage work at hair shows. I traveled a lot and was in a very different world than I am now
My ULTIMATE marketing success has been ... ME, getting out there with my message and trying my hardest to be fearless, no one can sell me better than myself!
As I look into 2010, I see for MYSELF ... big things, my company is gaining momentum, my family is healthy and we are excited about the future. My business ROCKS because ... I know it is important and it is fun for me and I am so incredibly passionate about it.
