Tanis Miller (@redneckmommy) spends most of her time reading, writing and rednecking in the wilds of Alberta. Her blog Attack of the Redneck Mommy is a humorous and insightful look at the joys of domestic life in an undomesticated setting. Her work has been featured on CNN, CBC, CBC News Network,The Globe and Mail and in a variety of Canadian daily newspapers. Attack of the Redneck Mommy won the Best Canadian Blog award in the 2010 and 2008 Bloggies as well as being named as one of the top ten mommy bloggers in 2009 by Babble.com’s list of Top 50 mommybloggers. In her spare time, Tanis is a frequent public speaker about how to survive losing a child as well as advocating for the rights of special needs children.

Connie just wanted to get Moms out of the house again and so was born Modern Mama, a group for MOMs to reconnect on an adult level in Edmonton! "Moms spend so much time second-guessing themselves as Mothers, wishing they had more mom-friends, and feeling isolated at home on maternity leave. Let’s get out and enjoy being women, but stay attached to our babies!" Connie has three girls, aged 1, 4 and 6 and is a WAHM when she's not 'carting them around town to school, gymnastics and playdates!)

Christie is a frenetically busy mom of two insatiably spirited boys, 5 and 3 yrs old, and a 1 year old baby girl. Searching for a mom-friendly business venture in which to invest my heart, soul, and dreams, she began keenly listening in on fellow moms' conversations about their self-made businesses. And so was born the Entrepreneurial Moms International, which now has chapters in Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Austin, TX. "In our midst are the dream-chasing leaders, butt-kicking achievers, boo-boo kissing nurturers, and high-fiving cheerleaders of one another who are shaping our world and leaving it a better place. At the core are wonderful women who have bonded and grown together, many of whom would give the shirt off their back for a fellow EM member in need. This is who we really are!"

Maria Virtuoso is the Founder of FamilyEdmonton.com. Family Edmonton is a Resource & Directory website made for the families in and around the Edmonton Area. How many times have you said "What should we do today? Well not anymore! Maria saw a need for an online site and continued strong when others told her it would not work. Five years later and expanding in new areas, Maria has proven to be a Savvy Entrepreneur. She was also named the 2009 Emerging Leader by E-Women.

Tina’s career expands over the last 25 years and includes working in Sales & Marketing for such Companies has Royal Doulton, N.C Cameron and Yankee Candle. Having travelled all over North America representing these companies she had learned a few things along the way that has paved her future of which now includes having not 1 but 2 very successful businesses of her own including The WomenPreneur.

Tina has embraced everything the corporate world had to offer her and the tough lessons also learned on her entrepreneurial path and these are now the stepping stones she uses in her own life balance and business success of which she openly shares with many other WomenPreneurs.
